With Sony releasing only a image of the controller, what are we expecting from them of the console?

Personally I don't think the controller looks great.
It looks more compact, and quite frankly the touch pad looks ridiculous. I can't think of anything it can be used for other than perhaps a mouse for internet searching?

 




And with only rumors of the next Xbox we have nothing to go
on apart from this. Will the Xbox look like this? I doubt it.
Still looking more forward to it than the PS4.
